O Lord, Our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
These passages were Mama’s favorite and ones that she truly lived by. Regardless of facing the fact that she wouldn’t see her own children grow up, she STILL honored, praised and worshipped The Lord. This Mother’s Day has been emotional but yet I thank God for the Godly woman that He allowed me to call Mama for 19 years of my life. She instill all she could in my sisters and I, so I can’t EVER say that I don’t know any better when it comes to loving others and loving most importantly God.
This Mother’s Day, I do honor Mama, but I want to also honor the 4 women who are most definitely a reflection of their mother. To the strongest and baddest women I know and who I hands down respect, love, look up too and would do anything for them. My sissys (sisters) Sandi Johnson, Tammy Golden, Taunya David and Lagenia Johnson, I wish you all the happiness and love on this Mother’s Day!! Much love y’all!! Y’all deserve a shout out!! Let’s continue trying to make God look good since that’s what we’ve been taught!!!
